Cabot Beach is the largest park in western PEI. This beautiful park has a large day-use area with accessible playground equipment, an activity centre with children's programs. There is also supervised swimming on scenic Malpeque Bay. The historical Fanning School is also found on site.
Cabot Beach Provincial Park is located within the Green Gables Shore touring region.
Fanning School at Cabot Park
Phone (902) 836-8945
Named after Governor Fanning, it was built in 1794. This schoolhouse was very unique at the time because it was a two-storey building. People were still being taught in the schoolhouse in 1969; and, in 1993, it was moved to Cabot Beach day-use area and was restored.
Transaction Fees for reservations are as follows:
$6.00 per reservation
$2.75 per reservation change
$2.75 per reservation cancellation
A reservation may be cancelled 72 hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. check-in time on the arrival date and the entire reservation fee minus the transaction fees will be refunded.
If a cancellation is received with less than the 72-hour notification, the one-night camping fee and transaction fees are retained by Provincial Parks.
No shows and no cancellation of a reservation will result in the park retaining the entire reservation and transaction fee.
Provincial Parks has a No Refunds Policy. Refunds will not be given to those who leave early for weather other than "Severe Weather Warnings."
