All PEI Provincial Parks are closed for the 2024 season. Reservation launch dates for the 2025 season will be posted on this page when available. Please check back for updates.
Northumberland's convenient location near the Wood Islands Ferry terminal makes this a busy park. Many people choose to stay for a night or two at the beginning or end of their visit to PEI. Cliff swallows burrowing nests along the shore are of special interest. Children's programs and supervised swimming are available.
Northumberland Provincial Park is located within the Points East Coastal Drive touring region.
Nearby attractions include the Northumberland Ferry, Rossignol Estate Winery, Cape Bear Lighthouse & Marconi Museum, and the Plough the Waves Lighthouse & Interpretive Centre.
Transaction Fees for reservations are as follows:
$6.00 per reservation
$2.75 per reservation change
$2.75 per reservation cancellation
A reservation may be cancelled 72 hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. check-in time on the arrival date and the entire reservation fee minus the transaction fees will be refunded.
If a cancellation is received with less than the 72-hour notification, the one-night camping fee and transaction fees are retained by Provincial Parks.
No shows and no cancellation of a reservation will result in the park retaining the entire reservation and transaction fee.
Provincial Parks has a No Refunds Policy. Refunds will not be given to those who leave early for weather other than "Severe Weather Warnings."
